# Bit-Sign

> Bit-Sign (bit-sign.online) signs documents with proof on Bitcoin SV (BSV): each signature is witnessed and can be inscribed on chain, and anyone can verify it. It is also the signer behind $401 on-chain identity, the engine behind bChatX rooms, bAds and paid posts. Live; beta.

## $401 identity

- Bit-Sign is the signing authority for $401, the identity layer of the $401/$402/$403 protocol stack: identity bundles, root keys, signature checks and attestations.

## bAds (house ad rail)

- bAds are square ads (a still plus a 6-second loop) shown down the side of our sites. Most of the rail today is house ads for our own services and games.

## Paid posts on bChatX

- An author can lock a post: a public teaser plus an encrypted body, published on BSV. Readers pay the author's price to unlock it.
- The unlock is an ordinary on-chain tip straight to the author; the author keeps the full price (bChatX takes 0% today).
- The body is encrypted in the author's browser; the chain never holds the plaintext.
